The content and context of "hate speech": Peter Molnar lectures at Turkish universities

Peter Molnar

CMCS Research Fellow Peter Molnar, co-editor of The Content and Context of Hate Speech: Rethinking Regulation and Responses, visited Turkey on 20-21 November to give lectures at Okan University and Kadir Has University in Istanbul on the subject of his book.

The Content and Context of Hate Speech, which Peter co-edited with Michael Herz, was published by Cambridge University Press and reviewed in the New York Times. Last year, Peter also published a short article at, in which he argued that the speed and ubiquity of mobile devices have changed the context of "hate speech" online: When an iPhone can be dangerous.
